Little Gunner has been chewing up branches roughly as big around as my thumb, which has resulted in the destruction of some large gardenia and camellia bushes. First he attacks the bushes, growling fearsomely while ripping off branches. Then he trots around the back yard displaying his green trophies, very proud of himself. Then he brings the dead, defeated branches up on the deck and reduces them to splinters.
Below: I made the mistake of telling LG about the Higgs Boson Particle, and then compounded my error by mentioning the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle. He’s too young for this.
The 5 images below were taken at 9 months. Little Gunner weighs 80 pounds and is extremely independent and secure. He’s also very sweet and wants to befriend everyone, human and canine. On weekends I try to introduce him to at least 20 people at outdoor events here in Athens. Some people think “Black Lab” is a breed unto itself, others are surprised to learn that Little Gunner is indeed a Labrador Retriever. He’s an English Lab, as opposed to an American, or Field, Lab.
In the 2 images below, Little Gunner is also at a little over 7 months. He is wearing a Martindale collar.
Little Gunner is a little over 6 months old.
